1 : HOW DO I CARE FOR MY WALLET?
I love the card access mechanism! How do I make sure it lasts for a long time?
We’re happy to hear you love using your Villantto Smart Wallet! Our wallets are pretty resilient (we’ve run them over with cars and they’ve kept going).
Please note:
Never force more cards in the cardholder than recommended (maximum of 6 embossed cards or 8 non-embossed cards). Doing so can permanently damage the card access mechanism.
It’s rare, but not impossible for your cards to get stuck in the cardholder. This can happen if there’s dirt or residue blocking the mechanism. To fix this, follow these steps:
- Shake the cardholder upside-down to eject the cards.
- Blow high-pressure air into the cardholder and shake it upside-down to make sure all residue is removed.

If your cards aren't ejecting smoothly, it may be due to irregular card sizes. To fix this issue, follow these steps:
- Insert your cards halfway into the cardholder.
- Gently move the cards left and right. This puts pressure on the friction system, creating more room for the cards to slide up and down.

RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification, which comes embedded in chips in most credit or debit cards issued in the last decade. These chips are a convenient way to store and transmit data wirelessly. When you hold your card next to a reader and pay without entering a code, that’s RFID!
3: What is RFID skimming? How do I protect my cards from it?
RFID skimming machines are similar to wireless payment systems, they read the information stored on the chip in your debit or credit cards. Counterfeit RFID skimmers use this technology to illegally obtain data from cards. The metal cardholder in Villantto wallets blocks data from being stolen by disrupting the frequency that allows data to transmit wirelessly.
